2014 Pacific Typologies Workshop, 29-30 January 2014, Auckland, New Zealand
This workshop is a key part of the APG typologies project on trans-Pacific drug trafficking being led by Tonga and Vanuatu. The workshop will discuss cases and regional and global experience in order to identify the financial issues, the associated money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF) risks and vulnerabilities and any patterns and trends within (and affecting) the Pacific, including the involvement of organised crime networks. The aim of the project, which will also identify red flag indicators, is to assist with real-time international cooperation on ML and TF investigations and prosecutions related to trans-Pacific drug trafficking.
This workshop is targeted towards operational specialists including Transnational Crime Units, FIUs, Police, Customs, Immigration and other related operational officials.
