23rd APG Annual Typologies Workshop: 9-11 November 2021 (Virtual)
The workshop will bring together leading experts in the sphere of AML/CFT to share knowledge and expertise on trends in relation to ML/TF and AML/CFT implementation. This is a unique forum which includes including law enforcement, prosecutors and financial intelligence units, along with international, private sector and non‑governmental organisations (NGOs). The workshop will have a plenary and two concurrent sessions focusing on the following topics:
· Proliferation Financing Risk Assessments (PF RAs)
This stream will focus on the recent changes to the FATF standards around PF RAs, current trends and typologies in PF, and the challenges faced by members and private sector entities developing their RAs currently. Sessions in the PF RAs stream will build on the focus chapter on the same topic in the 2021 APG Typologies Report adopted in August at the APG Plenary Meeting.
· Public Private Partnerships (PPP)
This stream will form the second part of the broader project on PPP which began with a technical seminar prior to the 2021 Plenary Meeting. This dedicated stream will focus on the use of PPPs in identification and sharing of typologies as cooperative mechanisms to combat ML/TF/PF.
In addition to members and observers, the workshop will be open to a limited number of participants from the private sector and NGOs on Days 1 and 2. In due course, we will request nominations from APG members and observers to identify NGOs and private sector representatives to attend the event.
Details on how to register for this event and nominate private sector and NGO participants, will be made available in due course.
